Wrinkle Treatment with Botox and Fillers

People of all ages can become dissatisfied with how their skin looks and feels and with time, the structure of the skin physically changes which can be a shock. Over the years the skin becomes less elastic and flexible and it can begin to sag and fold. These folds can become deep lines and wrinkles, which can be distressing and damage self-confidence. As we age our skin also becomes drier and it renews itself less than younger skin. These are some of the main contributing factors which lead to skin which makes you look more tired, older or unhappy than you really are.

Maintaining a naturally youthful complexion and skin quality is not always possible without a little extra help which is why we offer a range of wrinkle treatments to help smoothen the skin and return its natural youthfulness.

Botulinum Toxin Injections for Lines and Wrinkles

Botox injections can help to keep the skin looking its best and maintain your natural appearance. Injections of botulinum toxin are administered to keep the skin’s fresh youthfulness, minimising lines and creases, without dulling the features or creating the unwanted ‘frozen’ look that people often worry about.

There are different options available which you can talk through when arranging your consultation and treatment.

Dermal Fillers for Lines and Wrinkles

Dermal fillers are an alternative option or are sometimes offered alongside Botox treatment. Dermal fillers are usually used to treat features such as sunken cheeks, thin, unshaped lips, nasal humps, recessive chins, smoker’s lines to the mouth or deep nasolabial folds. This isn’t every instance they may be opted for but these are some of the most common scenarios.

Both Botox and fillers are considered safe and almost commonplace treatments now. Of course there is always a degree of risk and there is the chance of allergic reaction to some ingredients in the injections, which is why skin tests and proper medical histories are checked to ensure your safety.  Some autoimmune systemic conditions may also mean you are not suitable for some types of filler treatment but there are usually alternative options so you can still achieve the look you desire.

Many of the people who opt for Botox and filler treatment are over the age of 35 and looking to maintain their natural youthful look, but it is also possible to invest in these treatments when younger. Many people in their 20s now see the benefits of filler treatment for minor deformities rather than opting for full surgery.
